Hi Guys
As my nick already says my name is Maik Dobiey. I am 19 years old and just began to study biology. Of course I am looking forward to specialize on herpetology.
I started kepping herps at the age of 8. At first smal amphibians. When I was 11 I got my first snake. A wild cought Ophedorys aestivus which of course did not survive 5 months in captivity. Then I had a second try with a capture bred neonate of Python regius. This one was rather easier.
Because my parents did not let me keep more snakes I bought many books and read very much as consideration. I think at least 80 books with herpetological contents.
Now I keep 1.1 Boa constrictor imperator (Honduras), a Pantherophis(Elaphe) guttatus and an Epicrates cenchria maurus.
After a long time of preparations I am going to start with hot snakes this year. Probably with 1.1 Bitis arietans.
If you have any questions pose them.
So long
Maik
