My Fiancee just brought me this little guy that was obviously brought in on a tropical plant. What is it? I am assuming it is a baby anole, but wanted to see what type and see if everyone agrees.

Thanks for your comments. He is skinny, but I am going to go after work and get him sone 1 week crickets to fatten him up.

Looks like a bark anole to me. They're pretty small guys.

I found one at rona entrepot store in quebec. Was also in the plant section.

us that as big as it gets or is it a baby? For the size I was sure it was just a baby.

ps. Not that i'm going to put a WC anole with my dart frog, but they are comparable in size, can they live together? Different habitats I would assume, but just wondering. For now I will have to find something to keep it in. They require UVB right?

It looks like a bark anole, i'm not possitive but thats what it looks like to me.

how big do they get. I am getting a lot of different opinions on this. I have heard that it may be 3 different types of anoles now.

Well the one I found stayed really small and layed some eggs a few months ago so it was an adult female. I am guessing yours won't grow much more than this

It is definatly a brown anole...dont know what ssp tho. I have not seen any bigger than abour 4" svl. It must be hatching season, i got one from a girl i know that works in the wall mart plant area...

And yes your is a hatchling.

thats a young brown anole... bark anoles seem to have a more broken up pattern.

Id say brown anole..........definately.

They dont get much bigger.....but I cant tell with those pics you have.

It is very small. Look at the penny for reference.

It is deffinately a brown anole, Ive owned them for about 5 years and bred them a few times too. And Snakeman, they dont stay the size of a penny, they get about 4-6". If u need any care info or tips Greg just PM me.

Definetly a bahaman Brown Anole ... the males dewlap is quite orange ..very nice ....
