Not sure if anyone out there is a fan of the band Vertical Horizon, but I just got to kiss the lead singer (and got a picture, too!) Thought I'd share, since I'm pretty proud of myself. :D

Cool. They're a great band. Very mellow I think.
On a different note:David Usher kissed my hand at an autograph signing once:D:D I didn't wash my hands for a while LOL:D Then at a concert he body surfed the crowd and I pinched his rear! hehehe

LOL. Usher, eh? He's a hottie (with a hot butt, I'd imagine). I personally *love* rock stars. And yeah, the band did seem really down-to-earth. They introduced themselves to everybody they shook hands with.
Singer: Hi, I'm Matt (offering his hand)
Me: (shaking his hand). Hi Matt, I'm Mollie. Can I kiss you?
...well, not quite like that, but you get it.

That's awesome lilyskip! :) I had my hand held by Trevor Hurst (Econoline Crush) and got a hug from Dexter (Offspring). Vertical Horizon is a good band. Meeting our fave musicians is always fun. :)

I listen to Vertical Horizon as well. I haven't heard anything new from them in a while. Is this going to change?

Never heard of them but I was once taken advantage of sexually by April Wine and David Wilcox. I can't listen to "The Bearcat" anymore.

Very cool Lily! :D Vertical Horizon is pretty good...
And David Usher... mmmmm... hehe ;) Had a HUGE crush on him in high school. Went to a couple of their concerts... got pretty close to him after the show, but never did manage to get an autograph... ah well *sigh*.

Is there a url for the band anywhere? I'd like to hear some of their music, my curiosity has been piqued.

Well, when I was 19, I got to meet my childhood idol. He was the singer of the band that literally shaped me into the metalhead that I am now - I am talking about Brian Vollmer, lead singer of Helix. Yes folks, they are still going. They played at a nightclub here and they were out among the crowd after the show - but oddly enough, not many people approached them at first. So I got to literally sit and have a beer with a singer that I idolized as a child, even though he's just a guy with a musical career to me now, but it was still really mind blowing.

oh man, that's pretty incredible, invictus. i remember i talked to the lead singer/songwriter of one of my favorite bands over the summer for half a minute or so, and it was just so weird for me to think about how he was listening to me talk, and then the same brain that was responsible for writing these songs that I adore composed responses to what I said. Geez...incredible stuff.
