I find that working on your own creative is the hardest.

I am a professional, and I actually like your Logo, however if your type actually looks like i see it in the above post, i would definitely change it to anything other than that default font.

An idea may be to add a background pattern to the blue then incorporate a glow around the snake and leaf, this will help make it stand out.

You might also want to move everything a few millimetres from the edges, so it doesn't look so crammed in there. Other than that I think it looks great. Beautiful snake BTW!

Put some black around the leaf or something other than light blue, a very dark color or a very light color (with black lining around the leaf and snake) might make the snake and leaf stand out Try Lucida Sans font, and take it away from the edges so it doesn't seem so crowded.
Maybe put the pic in the middle and put extremesnakes.com in an arch around the pic, with the info on either side or on the bottom of the pic.........Just my opinons.......

Absolutely beautiful Corn!! What kind is it?

I think that the logo itself looks great :) Good job on that... I'd definitely change the font, and maybe add a drop shadow or something on it...and move the font a little bit away from the edge, as suggested above.

Well, it's actually pretty good... you have a graphical example of what you deal with, your contact info, and a brief description. As far as ideas, change the font and maybe add some colour, and as suggested, widen the canvas somewhat. Maybe have two snakes, one on each side, with ExtremeSnakes.com over them, and everything else in between them, to balance things out? Maybe the scale pattern of say a snow corn as the background?

You need that Invictus guy to design your site... I hear he's pretty good... :D

Will work for corn snakes!

Thanks for the advice everyone!
I'll go back and try to make a yellow boarder and a black boarder around the leaf and then change the font on the writing (I was going to do it when I first made it.....but somehow I forgot....sigh..)

Invictus,
Hum.....I've heard that you are a professional in web site making....maybe I could use your help for corns....if you are serious about this, email me or pm me and we'll talk.....lol...(I've been working on this site for more than a year now...and still haven't got it up....lol)

Good point Kristine... I didn't even notice that.

So it would make more sense to either change it to "Colubrids, Boas & Pythons", or have it just as "Colubrids & Boids"

Just an opinion, but I'd go with "Colubrids, Boas & Pythons" because a) it sounds cleaner to me and b) I never liked the word "boid" for some reason...something about it ;) I just think that sounds nicer...but it wouldn't hurt to have other opinions. Plus, a larger range of potential customers are familiar with "boa" and "python" than "boid"...just a suggestion.

well i would make the font different put a border around the leaf and the snake to make it stand out and maybe put a border around the blue box to make it a eye catcher instead of just the leaf and snake so they have sorta a 3D thing going on.. my opinion :P

oh ya, everyone has a different taste, so do what you like.....:) What kind of snake is that again?

lol.....I was going to type boa instead of boid in there...I didn't even notice it until you all mentioned it...lol...oops.....silly mistake....

oh the snake in the photo is a red candy cane. I usually work with more of the orange candy cane but red is also nice too. I just love the candy canes more than any other so that is why I used the candy canes for my logo.

thanks everyone!!!
