Well as most of you probably know Nova Scotia was hit pretty hard last sunday by a force one hurricane. Leaving people without power even now....
We were some of the lucky ones and got ours back tuesday afternoon....Thank god!

Yesterday we went out to get a couple of shots of the damage...some of the stuff is just unreal.

Hopefully things will be back to normal soon. Though we're expecting a tropical storm to hit in the next few days.
Wish us luck!!

Nicky

This is what use to be a billboard...hard to believe what a little wind can do.

It was nuts....Downtown Halifax and the water front looks like a war zone. I heard there were sustained winds of 120 kph.

That's insane... wow, and only a force one. Imagine what a category 3 would be like. I'm sure some of our peeps here from Florida have probably experienced that at one time or another....

Wow, that's amazing. I lived in Miami when Hurricane Andrew smacked into us...it's just so weird to see how fragile everything we've built around us actually is.

The worse part is...these pictures were taken in Dartmouth....I've heard halifax was hit much worse. (Apartments collapsed, ships sunk and the Halifax waterfront is distroyed.)

My heart goes out to the families of victims that died from this hurricane. An abulance driver died when a tree fell on top of his abulance. And a mother and her two children died in a fire caused by lit candles.
Rest in piece.

Nature is a mother, and hell has no fury like a woman scorned. It's amazing what mother nature can do to us.
