Hey everyone hows it going:)
Well I am deciding on either a Hypo Boa or a GTP obviously for my next purchase. Even though its a good 4-6 months away I want to be fully preparded ECSPECIALLY if its a GTP. Since I have experience with Boas.

Well what I want to know is what the best local is. Average cage size you house yours in. etc etc! Anything and everything is helpful!

Am I right in saying there temps should be around 88 and humidity should be about 80-90?

Also pics would be a plus(name its local and price!).

Thanks

go to www.chondroweb.com and read Greg Maxwell's locality debate. It's very interesting, and may change your mind about a few things. Also, join www.chondroforum.com, if you have any other questions..there are a lot of top breeders on that site that can help.
I am still researching GTPs, as I plan to get my first pair in a few months. My enclosures will be 22inchx22inchx22inch arcylic. From what I've read and talked about with breeders, to get the humidity up, you should spray for like 10-15 minutes in the morning/early afternoon, and then allow for a "drying out" period at night..and then respray again in the morning. They don't need constant high humidity, just a big spike during the day. Hope this helps!

GTPS are very different from the stuff it looks like you currently keep.

there is nothing wrong with branching out and exploring other snakes, but sometimes GTPs arent the best to start this with, they can be picky eaters sometimes too.

a hypo boa would be safe since you have that experience and its always a good investment

that would be my advice to you....if you decide to go GTP, just do alot of reading first....good luck!

Yes I know and I have chosen the Hypo BCI. I am going to wait until I have more experience for a GTP

Glad to hear some people actually think it through.

Good choice my friend.
