I had fun on Granville island today...the spiders were out in droves...

And a slider was busy floating around the pond. Wouldn't let me get too close though...

Wow my old stomping grounds! No one believes me about the spiders. We used to feed them ants and anything else we could find great to see they are as fat and healthy without all the free grub! :D TB

lol ya, that coin is the Canadian Toonie. $2, and its slightly bigger than the dollar coin....nice pics :)

I'm not sure what species they are exactly. I've tried looking it up, to no avail. But they are everywhere around here. There are gorgeous orb webs almost everywhere you look.

I love the spider shots. me and the daughter caught a couple similar to the toonie shot we fed them dragonflies daily. then eventually they laid eggs, the female ate the male and the we had dozens of babies running around. That ended that, back outside they went :)
