So with all the hype that went on behind this show…I find it surprising that no one has posted yet about this? Perhaps I'm blind and have missed the posting? But I don’t think I see one? Unfortunately I could not make it out to the show this weekend. I hope all goes well and this lack of posting how it was is not a indication that it was a failure? Anyone have any pic's? how was it?

I went with the family, we all had a great time as we understood it was the beginning of super things to come. and I must commend Grant for all the work he must have done in getting it together. It is always good to see fellow animal lovers aswell.

I got my kid a Rosy T from Robert @ Arachnomania...nice guy buy things from him.

I didnt like the show.. and some things happened to make me mad at the show. So I'd prefer not to comment on it.

I had a great time at the show! Was quite interesting to see all the different animals under one roof.

Was especially nice to finally meet and talk to some members from SsnakesS! LadyHawke, Matt_K, Jeff, Shane, Marisa, TonyL, Asphyxia and I'm sure others that I'm forgetting right now (sorry, pretty pooped!)!

I had a really good time at the show! It was nice meeting some of the members!!!!!

But I must say sorry to Matt_K because I ignored his goodbye. :(

Anyways I thought it was a good time and I hope to go again next year.

I went only on the friday, i enjoyed looking at snakes that i never saw in real life, like the albino BP and albino boas. They are so amazing in person. I also checked out the skate park they had outside....it was pretty sweet!!!

Well, i was there everday including the Thursday when people were setting up.. I have to say, it really was a good show.. Lots of people came through and there were some really nice looking animals there.. The one thing about the show that really stood out in my mind was when Sciensational Snakes did their first presentation on the stage. Throughout the day we heard many people saying 'eww' at the reptiles, but as soon as Sciensational Snakes was announced to be putting on a presentation, the people flooded to the stands to go and watch.. They put on a great presentation, my hats off to them!.
It was also great finally getting to meet Marisa after reading her 9000 posts.. Despite her not bringing my little snake, it was still nice finally being able to speak face to face.. The weekend also marked me holding my first tarantula, i didnt know what to think at first, but it wasnt so bad.. The next day i found myself at Arachnomania's table holding 4 at one time.. Later that day i purchased one.. Thanks again Rob and thank you Pixie for introducing me to these guys.. :D

My new addition from the show.. Thanks again Rob (I Think)

LMAO

I must agree with Matt_K though about the tarantulas. I own two tarantulas myself but I have never ever held one. On Saturday I went to see Pixie and visit Arachnomania's table...and I held a tarantula for the very first time too! I felt sick for a little bit because I was nervous but I am already planning my first handling session with my two tarantulas tonight! :D

I was at the show from friday to sunday. I had an awesome time and saw a few members that i had not met before which was great. I wasn't too sure what to expect when i got there but it turned out to be a really original and interactive show! My favorite part was the leamers and the Paca at the petting zoo and the shows that were on the stages. The booths were great but i just wish i had brought more money to spend LOL . I still can't beleive i held a tarantuala in my hand on that weekend...being terrified of spiders (yeah yeah i know they aren't "spiders" but you know what i mean :P) that's a huge acheivement haha. I can't wait until the next show. Just want to thank Grant and his crew for putting up a great show which i will be looking forward to attending in the years to come! :)

Thanks for allowing me to be a part of it all Grant, and for putting up with me and Nick for 4 days LOL. I had a great time, well, atleast when you guys didnt have your shoes off.. HAHAHAAH ;)

We had a booth set up for the weekend. I have to say that the spending wasn't what I had hoped for, but we did some great PR work for the hobby.

Here are some pictures that we took, the kid holding the woma had no clue what he was holding and his mom didnt ask to see the price tag! HAHAHA

I was happy to actually TALK to Matt_K in real life, as I didn't get to when I went to the July Expo. I also had a good time sitting at the allthingsaquatic booth with Shane and his personal life assistant Marisa! ;) I went with my mom and she said, "Wow, that Shane guy is pretty hot, you two would make a great couple!" LMAO

I liked all the reptile exibits but didn't really like the dog fashion show and the dog carriers which literally turns you dog into your purse!

I had a better time at PCPC on Saturday where I picked up my new Kingsnake.

I had a great time at the show, I think my favorites were the petting zoo and the taxidermed animals. (try walking past those at 3 in the morning in the dark with no one around) I got another albino at the show, also a book I really wanted and and well I was at the show Brian aka Asphyxia dropped off some corns he picked up at the airport for me coming from Trevor aka Boidkeeper in new Brunswick ( thanx guys I appreciate it) I also want to thank Grant for putting so much time and effort into such a great show and for allowing me to be part of it, I can't wait for next year. And shane if you ever try and grab my *** again Im going to have to throw you into ANOTHER honda.

Anyway heres some pics of my new girl, I name all my boas but I haven't come up with anythign for her yet. Any suggestion?

This was the first show that www.allthingsaquatic.com ever had a booth at. For me, it was also the first time we had ever done a real trade show that wasnt animal specific. I made alot of great contacts, talked to lots and lots of ppl and made some new friends. There was so much to see and do. The animal experience at this show was absolutely incredible, there was so many hands on booths with animals you would never normally get to play with that my head is still spinning. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the show, the bird, dog, cat ppl are such nice ppl and very fun to talk to. Several members stopped by the booth and hung out, and i was pleased by their support...thanks guys!

I think Grant put on a tremendous show....but then again, i expected nothing less from him. I would like to personally thank him on behalf of the site for his hard work and attention to detail...his efforts and professionalism showed, and the show for me was a huge success! This show i wish nothing but great luck for in the years to come...and if this one was any indication, the years to follow will be incredible!!! Congrats on a job well done Grant and your team :D

I would also like to thank Matt K and Nick (aka Chappy) For a great job helping direct traffic, doing security, helping ppl set up...and most of all watching my booth when i wasnt there....i was worried about all my computer equipment being stolen..and you guys looked after me...i owe you...thanks guys :D

Marisa
What can i say...i would not have been able to do this show with you! You kept me in stiches all day long, and never got tired of promoting the site to those that walked by. I owe you the greatest of thanks for not only helping, but putting up with me for three days as well. It was my pleasure to finally meet you and your b/f Matt who is a very cool guy :D Words cannot describe how thankful i am to have had you help me at the show....you really are my personal life assistant and i love you for it, Thank You!!!

To my mom & dad, my sister Laurynn, and especially Jeff.....thanks guys for helping me deliever and pick up the booth, the computers etc...wouldnt have got there without you guys! Thanks :D

Serpentlust......tell your mom thanks..that made my day!!!....maybe i should be dating her LOL!!!

To those of you that missed the show...i would encourage you to go next year...you will not be disappointed!!!

Thanks for the kind words, Matt! I wish I could have spent more time at the show, but we had other events to cover as well. I only got to be there a bit on Saturday, in time to do our show. Too bad I didn't get to meet all of the ssnakess people who were there!

Thanks especially to Kristin, and to Dave, Steve, Lori, and Grant for working the display for us over the weekend.

The show was fantastic! From fish to wallabies (sp?), there was tonnes of stuff. I held my first tarantula at the show (a pink zebra beauty), it was awesome!

I got to meet and talk to many people. I had the opportunity to help out Jenny at the Sciensational Sssnakes booth and help (or at leat try to help...lol) educate a few people about Ontario's native reptiles (and reptiles in general). It was great! Thanks Jenny!

There were some sweet displays aswell! Mark Pepper of Understory Enterprises had an amazing display (as usual) of natural terrariums and cool dart frogs! Shane made a cool display to promote the new site ( www.allthingsaquatic.com ). HQ reptiles also had an awesome display with some really neat animals. There were so many other cool displays that I can't name them all!

Thanks so much for a FANTASTIC show Grant!

Oh yeah, Im sorry about any spelling errors or if I forgot to mention some important details but Im exhausted this evening!

Sean :)
