For the longest time, I mistook the epiglottis in the mouths of snakes for the chamber of the tounge. I soon found out that the epiglottis is actually a wind pipe which allows the snake to breath while swallowing large prey. Anyhow, this leads me to the question of where is the snakes tounge located? I suspect under the epiglottis but I'm not sure.
