XainI am actually not certain where that one went . It was one that Ray had about a year and a half or so ago. He NO longer sells, deal , trades in them nor do I .There are times i miss that animal as its intellegants was very high , but unlike a hot it had no aggresion.Good case in point for anyone thinking of wanting to ever work with a void thinking it is a good way to train for a hot . A hot acts one way A void acts like a ratsnake. Ratsnakes dont put you in the mind set to work with the hots. Only a venomous animal can truly keep you in that mind set. No matter how much a person says They will treat it hot in the back of thier mind they know it wont kill them. Bad mistake if the surgery was botched and it becomes hot again or in 1 case i know for certain of the surgery was never preformed and the snake was still very much hot.

And Ray G . I still can smell musk in my truck from some certain ribbons, I must really like you to get them for you $%@#$%@$#^%^#$& stinky things.

And I quote,"...it's intellegants was very high..." LOL's!!! You must have been ummm, tired? I do have to disagree on the aggressive or, rather lack of venomoid aggression. Try a venomoid western diamond..They will still light you up. Most established, healthy venomoids have been "worked with" so much up to that point, they become somewhat "tame" simply due to the amount of handling. You do not see too many tame "hots" only because they do not get free handled like a person would ratsnakes.
In the early days of "venomoid surgery" Brian Blazer and I had worked conducted on two Kings for Soco Gardens Zoo. I kept one he kept the other. (For recuperation reasons) The 12 footer I had was doing very well however, both specimens retained aggression. One night about 6 months later I got a frantic call from Brian and he explained his king came at him, he raised a roll of paper towels up in his hand...When the king bit the paper towels they turned yellow! The techniques and surgical practices have come a long way however, when performed by a person who is not 100% "up to speed" there are inherent dangers! Mistakes do happen. The reasoning behind "venomoid surgery" I do not agree with but, we'll leave it at that. Thanks Ray G HBR

Barry it was a very long day. Ray G i admit i do not have a lot of experiance with voids but from the few I have had to deal with they just do not seam to have the temperment of a hot. Your point about the handling them to the point they become tame like a ratsnake does make since. But as to the intelligance of a mamba hot or not i firmly believe them to be one of the most intellegant. atleast they dont catch pygmys with there boot and hand lol or flip flops :)

Ray already Pan and Flag. i just woke up and went to check on him and he is going in to a shed so hopefully some rats will be able to go for a few days without being fed off. Oh what the hell am i saying the pythons need to feed lol .. thanks again

Actually I was picking on the "spelling intelligence" Scott!!! LOL! I'm familiar with "mamba intelligence". Just as Kings are different from most Cobras in that area.
