I bought 2 leo's about a 3 weeks ago, one albino, and 1 leucistic (babies) well the albino already had a nice plump tail but the leucistic was smaller and didn't have as fat of a tail but was healthy. They were both shy at first, But now the albino comes out and takes down crix when they are fed, but the leucistic doesn't come out and eat it sticks it's head out and watches, but when I put a few meal worms infront of their hides the leucistic eats them. But right now it is skinny. I don't think it is finding the dish I put the meal worms in I am using a top to a spice bottle. I have been told they are both females. So I don't know what could be the problem?

seems like my male is just like that. All the food I put in there gets eagerly snatched up by my female and the male dosen't even come out of the hide box. He only likes mealies as well. (refuses everything else) So sometimes I feed him by hand right at the door to his house. I don't do this always, but he is way fatter than my female, so i assume he is eating okay when I am not watching.

you could try separating them to eat, maybe the albino is acting dominate and the leucistic is afraid to eat in her presence?

Any "fatty" foods I can feed my leucistic to fatten her up quick? I have tried to hand feed her but she won't take it she seems to be more shy than the other.

Are wax worms to big to feed baby leo's? one is 5.5" and the other is about 4.5" including tails. I think part of the problem is the crix are to fast for them. My albino eats them but not if she has to put in alot of effort. laaaazzzy

The wax worms avaiable to me are like 1 inch long. Maybe im buying like baby ones or something but if you can find small ones like that than you could almost forsure feed them. You just have to make sure, general rule of thumb, the food item should be no longer than the width of the leopards head.
good luck with that and the wax worms are sure to fatten it up.

It could be many things,
He could be stressed by the other gecko. I had babies that were like that, I had to keep them alone and they did just fine. IF a gecko is bigger than the other, chances are the other feels threaten.

Other theory, could be parasites, there are some worms that will fee off your geckos, kinda like the solitary worm some igs and humans have. You loose weight but still eat likea pig.

If you didn't have a stool sample done, it would be worth it. I always get one done when I buy a new reptile, just in case.

mealworms are also smaller than crickets so more mealies have to be fed than crickets. as for fatty feeds only once a month.. and if u do feed fatty stuff make sure that it's within proportion to the other foods u give them.

Well with the fecal I don't know who's poop is who's? If they both have parasites wouldn't the be both skinny? I got both of them from extreme reptiles, anyone else bought any leo's in the past 2 months and have these problems?

i would separate them and wait for fecals and to make sure that if a fecal does show parasites it's not transmitted. and both of them wouldnt necessarily be skinny.. may not have been infected.. also when u say leucistic do u mean patternless or blizzard

If I put the leucistic leo in quarantine, How much room does it need? I only have one tank.

since its still pretty small it could live in a 10 gallon. or if u dont wanna buy another tank i guess u could put a divider in your tank since the purpose of this quarentine is just to identify fecals

oh, the reason i asked bout patternless/blizzard is that blizzards are genetically more agressive than other types of leos. but since urs is a patternless it could be getting bullied instead of doing the bullying
