I know for snakes feeding live mice is really bad but since its a pinky and probably jut squirms around i odnt think it oculd harm the leopard. I would say just incase kill it and than what i do is wiggle it in front of there face. Mine is a good eater so i have no problem but than again most leopards are. Also make sure its not to big for them because mine gets intimidated when its even slighltly large. Try to get the smallest pinky you can find unless yours will eat anything. Good luck with it

Thanks and i asked the guy from thepet store for the smallest one. I put it back inthe cage and now hes just licking it. lol
haha, not too sure on that one, i would try taking a cricket and rubbing it all over the mouse and then trying, then hes got the smell of a cricket and the gecko might take it.

Some leos just won't eat pinkies... others go bananas over them :) If he doesn't seem interested, I wouldn't bother with them...

I left the pinky in the bowl the whole night but they wouldnt eat him . So this morning i had to kill him . He was making all these funny movements so i didnt feel as bad finishing him off , not having to let him suffer.

It may take a little while for your leos to be enticed by the pinky mouse. It took me around 3 or 4 different tries for mine to finally want to eat them. But after they ate them for the first time every time after they would eat them. All it take is that first time for them to get the taste so be patient and try a few more times. I also feed f/t and dangle them with tongs. But all my leos are used to tong feeding now. When they see the tongs they know theres something there to eat.
Personaly i would never feed live!!! when feeding pinkies it's not the risk of the mouse hurting the leos. It's the risk of the pinky mouse having parasites and my leos getting them. So feeding f/t is the way to go. Less chance of my leos contacting any parasites. Every ones so worried about the mouse hurting thier animals that they forget about the possiblity of the prey containing parasites so they feed fresh killed or stuned prey.

Okthanks
i've never fed a pinky to my leo but i'd think that the first time u feed it it'd be better to leave it live since leos go for moving things and it's never seen it before.. then u can start killing them as the leo learns to recognize the tasty little treats.

You could always freeze your own. Pinkies freeze fast.
