That sounds fine for a cal king if space is an issue, personally if i was going to make one i'd make it slightly bigger, but that still should be fine for an adult calK.
Sliding doors are probably the best as long as you remember to shut them properly.
If you use glass as aposed to perspex then it will probably be to heavy for a cal to move, but you can get a lock just to be safe. Get one from a shop that uses vivs with sliding doors and locks

That is more than enough for a Cal king, even a giant king wouldn't need that much space but it is always nice to provide more for them isn't it? :)

What size is your king? I dimly recall hearing it mentioned that the gap between the two panes of glass can be big enough for a small neonate to squeeze through.

if a snake is that small it shouldnt be kept in an enclosure that big any way, it should be in somthing smaller like a rubbermaid or somthing similar, in side the big enclosure as it can stress them out. The gap between my glass is only about 2-4millimeters wide any way so most would not be able to escape, but this does bring up the issue of ventalation, so make sure the viv is well ventilated with small holes at the back
