New 20gallon long for my boa

Picture of my new boas cage which is a 20gallon long.
Bought the cage and lid from our local petstore woman fora great deal. Only cost me 20 bucks :)

Are those wood shavings as substrate?? If so what kind are they??

I agree with Jeff, you need to get a more secure lid than that screen top, a boa could easily break out of that. Nice enclosure nonetheless.

The substrate is Aspen Bedding I bought from Walmart, and I keep a towel over the screen lid, as well as weights to hold it down. I am buying some straps to put around it because it's not a locking top.
