Does your ball python go off food at the same time every year?

Last year, just before winter, my BP stopped eating for almost 6 months. Nothing changed, he just stopped eating. (You know how they can be) Then one day he just started eating again. This year he has already gone off eating. It seems that one of my roomates is doing the same thing less than a month later. Do yours get that "finicky eater syndrome" at the same time every year?

They do that in preparation of the upcoming breeding season. It is nothing to worry about as long as they are not losing weight.
