View Full Version : For the variable king gurus
I ran into a guy today that told me he bought an "orange variable king" I think from somewhere in Winnipeg. Apparently it looks a lot like a regular corn snake. Does such a thing as an orange variable king exist? Does anyone have a picture?
Yes they exist, either it was a peach/orange milk morph or a orange leonis morph. In the milk morph the saddles are orange to a peach color with the more sought after individuals having a brighter orange color, and the ground color is usually a red with black borders. The leonis version is similar but with more variability in the ground color, and borders. Agian I wish I had a digi cam. =( Here's a good example of the milk morph. http://www.serpentdan.com/images/Lmt2002c02.JPG
Dan has quite a few 2003 leonis that are very orange. Take a look Jay.
Very interesting. My guess at first seeing it would be a milk snake morph. Doesn't look anything like a corn that's for sure. Thanks, enso.
