Just completely out of curiousity is it safe to keep a ball python and a BRB in the same habitat? I was at a pet store with my brother (who I share an appartment with) and he has taken a liking to my snake and wants one of his own now. I have no intention of keeping them together if it is not safe i am just curious.
No, they are from different parts of the world and should be kept seperate. The reason being is, bacteria that one snake may naturally carry and be immune to could cause illness in a snake from another part of the world. The care is different and the humidity that a BRB would require would kill a ball python. Also while it is rare in boids, canibalism can be an issue. Build a second enclosure.
thanx i guess i coulda figured that out but its way past my bed time.....
