Hello i was just wondering peoples thoughts on a 1.9 breeding colony do you think that i will most likely have a constant suply of pinkies?plus i put them in a 30 gallon with lots of hides, big food dish, and a water dish.Does that sound o.k thanks for any help in advance. B.J.
I would go more for 1.4 and 1.4 or something... It would probably work, but that's a little hard on the male.
Also, I suggest you use a water bottle. Mice LOVE to put shaving and poop in their water dishes and it's a pain to have to remove it, clean it, refill it, and put it back in the cage, when you could just refill a water bottle every few days.

Yeah servicing 9 females would be a challenge for any species :D

A 1.5 colony works well for me, just get a couple of colonies happening
I also find that 1.3 - 1.5 works the best overall.
And a water BOTTLE is a must. You will soon realize that after using a water bowl for a couple days. :D
