What?

Mice are fine, depending on what you're feeding. Give the adults plenty of food and water and don't bug them too much, and the babies will be fine.

You don't. That's what their mom is for ;) Just pretend like they aren't even there. Nothing special needs to be done. Just don't add any new mice while there are babies.

It depends. Some animals can't or won't take rats.

Yes. Rats are super compared to mice. They don't stink like mice do, they don't have the crappy attitude that mice do, and they aren't as sensitive as mice. Mice are easily upset and can stop breeding very easily, such as new members added to the colony or whatnot. Rats on the other hand are not easily stressed.

I've never bred hamsters so I cannot comment on that but I can say that mice stink A LOT. Hamsters are not a high odour rodent, but mice however always stink. There is no way around it... if you don't clean them enough they stink, if you clean them too often they scent more... you jsut have to deal with a degree of stink  Nothing fun about mice...

I bred hamsters before mice. I found that hamsters do not smell less than mice. They just have a different smelling.
Hamsters are not good food for reptiles. They are high in fats and they produce a lot fewer litters than mice per year.
