I was just wondering what % of humidity I should keep in my mangrove monitor tank. He/She is about 5 months old

Temperature does not have to bbe excessively high, maybe 90, but the humidity needs to be 100%...they like it hot and moist where they lives, from North Australia - PNG - R4 Islands - Solomon Islands - Caroline Islands - Micronesia -

Good Luck, Enjoy your V.indicus,

Do you recommend daily mistings to keep the humidity up, or is there a more efficient way other than an expensive auto mister.

Thanks

Humidity is easy to maintain with a properly ventilated enclosure. you want minimal ventilation, and a good substrate that will hold moisture. Out-door dirt, works great. I can maintain 80% humidity without even dampening my soil very often as it holds moisture like nothing else. hope this helps.
