Lucifer is being a bad boy

Well since his great escape (and return)...hes been very pissy...he is very skiddish...and is always hissing...and tail whips. He seems more aggressive towards the mice hes been eating...slinging them very hard and such. Im worried that I wont be able to break him of this by the time hes big..any ideas or tips on taming him to the old people friendly savannah monitor he was?

yeah my leopard gecko was like that after she got loose, i guess a taste of freedom kinda makes them go mad lol.

Well i dont have any lizards but my JCP got loose 3 times till i finally figured that i need a new top, but he was in a pissy mood too. I think JeffT is right freedom makes them alittle mad when caught and put back in there home, but he settled in about 2 weeks after and now he is doing great

We are not talking of a cat or a dog. You bought a predator and you have to accept things like they are. Take your time with him. Find what he like and do those things with him. Make him trust you. The most important thing is PATIENCE...
