I have 2 geckos with fat deposits just behind their arm pits. Does this mean I'm being a little too generous with their meals? One came to me like this (she has the largest deposit) and the other is mine that hatched here, about 5 months old and the one I received was nearly 30 grams when I got her and is now about 40 grams and the other is somewhere in the 30s.
Should I cut the food down? They are fed daily.
Here are pics of them.

If you look good on this picture you can see it, just behind her arm.

Nope, fat deposits are a good thing! It means they are nice and healthy, and would be great breeders!
She's developed the curse of the aging woman.....wing flaps!!!
lol
I have some geckos that have those even if they're just mildly chunky...and others that can gain weight like you wouldn't believe and and still don't get those. I wouldn't use anything but the overall appearance of the animal to seeif it's getting too heavy. :)
feed your geckos as many crix, mealies, supers, w/e u feed em as they want.. as long as they're not wax, butter, pinky or other "un-ratio-ed" foods

Thanks neo. These are sub-adults, my geckos only get crickets and mealies with occasional silkies. I used to do suppers till one bit my leo on the nose, now I stay away from them, and only my breeders get occasional pinkies. ;) Over all they don't look that fat and the are only around 40 grams. I have a male that is 75 grams and has smaller pockets than these girls, that was why I wondered. Guess it is alright though. Thanks everyone.

You should see the fat pockets on my biggest male! They are like the size of pearl onions! It's just a sign on healthy weight.
