Hi all i just wanted to tell you this story i heard on a documenary or somthing a couple weeks back..... ( most of you will think im corny but i dont care lol)

Well there was this husband and wife who bought a baby dog and cat and the same time well through out the dog and cats life they had 3 or 4 littlers of pups and kittens well the always would look after each others littlers to let one another rest..............well one year came around when they bolth had a littler and when the momma kitten had her littre she dyed right after the last kitten so the moma Dog went and got the Cats Kittens and took them over buy her pups and fed and raised thos kittens with her milk.........................

isnt that a crazy story?

Not really crazy. Animals are known to do this. There have been instances of cats raising squirrels, dogs raising tigers, etc. It's pretty neat though! :)

Not crazy...Ive heard of those type things...Ive seen something similar with my mom's cats...both had babies around the same time, the mother of the latter litter died, the other female took care of them all...

The parental instinc is very strong in animals.
Did you guys ver wonder why a big dog often will be scared of a little dog?
Well it's cause the dog thinks the smaller dog is a pup, but since that pup barks and seems agressive, they do not know how to react, that is why they never do anything about a small dog barking and will often just run off. Their parental instinc tells them that small dog is a pup.

I've seen it happen before with several different species, the maternal instincts in most animals are quite strong. It is quite amazing. :)
