why do all my double hets look like this?

I bred for het banana blizzards this year and all my hets came out with a zillion spotts. lol, just thought it was weird.

Well from personal experience this is common among hets. I just noticed this last year too. They seem to be creamy colored too, and sometimes fade even more as they get older. Guess with the combined genetics of more than one trait the genes get "overwhelmed".:D They sure look pretty though. It's kind of a good indicator when you purchase hets as to whether or not they really are or not.

Maybe the dominant genes feel crowded by all the recessives paddling around the gene pool and start bullying them?

I think this has to do with more of the 'wild type' genes coming out in double hets. Most albinos are close to 'wild type', and if you are just mixing them with a patternless gene, be it patternless or blizzard, we seem to see more spots and a 'wild type' looking leopard gecko.
