View Full Version : Hopefully I am not alone in this!!!
This is just something that I thought I would ask.
Is there anyone out their that is super clumsy??
I only ask b/c lately, having started college, everyone has commented on how clumsy I am! I all ready knew that I was but I think it has gotten worse! At least 3-5 times a day something happens. Either I trip up/down the stairs, hit my head getting into my car (still have a lump on my forehead) or do something that results in my getting hurt. OR accidently hurting someone else, my bf being the main target. I almost chipped his tooth the other night when we went to see Live, he was about to take a drink and I turned around to say something and WHACK! Right into the bottle:rolleyes:
Anyone that knows me personally here, their are a few, will vouch. One of them, with whom I worked with for a bit, can say that he was worried that I would kill myself one day!!!
So anyways.......anyone out their with the same clumsy inclinations??? And if so, share those stories so I am not the only one:D

I'm really lucky I can still walk...I stub my toes, head, and shins alot. and the honorable falling up the stairs.
Oh man... I'm a super clutz. I catch my hips on corners, I bonk my head on cars, I walk in to anything possible, I trip, I tip over when I'm walking, I break things, I hit my teeth off bottles and the list goes on :o LOL... I prefer to use plastic cups over glasses :p
Classic, LOL can you explain how you stub your head? Just teasin...lol....couldn't resist :p

You're not alone. I used to be coordinated, or at least I thought I was. Last fall I hopped off a chimney onto a roof and broke my ankle. In May I missed my footing getting out of a truck, did a huge face plant, and broke both hands and a toe!
A little trip now and then is not a big deal.

sorry but im not a clutz at all ;)
i could dance circles around you lame feet
Same here.
I constantly hit my arms/shoulders on things, fall down, hit my head. My friends are always commenting on it. And trying to use it against me.

LOL don't think anyone hurts themself more than a friend of mine. He refuses to go to any of the three hositals around here anymore, doesn't care what he broke, all the emergency room staff know him by name

A few years back at my college tour, I fell up some stairs in front of my new classmates. I felt like such a jackass!

o man, sometimes i'll just be standing up and i'll lose my balance and almost fall! when i walk i trip over my feet a lot.. my parents say it's cause i sat on the floor w/ my legs under me when i was little...

i think my friend does. Hes more of a jinx! One of the many stories i could think of this is the most pathetic. He once went to sit on a lawn chair and his thumb got stuck in one of the wholes and than the chair collapsed so he broke his thumb and wrist!!! How the heck do you manage to do that!
When I was a little kid the pediatrician would always send my parents out of the room and ask where did you get that bruise? and this one? and this cut? and that scratch?
I was always falling down, getting cut, bumping into stuff. It's a wonder he never had my parents investigated for child abuse. Grew out of it somewhat but I'm still far from graceful.

Two years ago i broke my record and was triped up and fallen on the floor at school 4 times! But now no one tries to trip me up cos they know ill fall over straight away! I also seem to walk into at least one person a day, so I'm not going to try and say how many non moving objects i walk into!

I feel your pain...I can't even STAND without going over on my damn ankle! *LOL* There's also several times where I've accidentally whacked someone in the head, tripped on a rug, you name it. *L*

When people say the word clumsy they usually picture me! LOL
I am always sporting new cuts, bruises, scratches, lumps and bumps from catching something as I walk by, tripping, hitting my head, or whatever. Most of the time I dont even know how or when I get a new battle scar... they just kinda show up (I think my gf beats me up in my sleep or something LOL)
My mother calls me the walking bruise hehe

Linds: Have you ever tried to keep walking when turning the knob on a door to go through and smash into the door? or
Try to close the car door before your completely seated.
That's how you stub your head.

I'm about as graceful as a limp camel on crack.
I'm constatly knocking things over, and things have a tendency to just jump right out of my hands. I don't drop anything, objects JUMP out of my hands, I swear!

I think thats me that your describing. I could be holding say a pen for example and out of nowhere it's flying across the room. don't know how but it does.
I walk into things, bump things and knock them over. Constantly a new bruise or cut. The funny bone is the worst i seem to hit that 2 or 3 times a day. Why do the call it a funny bone the only people to laugh is the ones around you.
I'm only 24 and have had 2 surgeries on my left ankle so i have to look down when i'm walking if not i'll fall. I couldn't tell you many times i've sprained it. Lost count on how many times i've fallen upstairs or fallen at all. I'm like a weeble wobble, but i do fall down.
Most of my clumsiness is from not paying attention...

You too eh? *LOL*
Yeah:) Sounds like we all have that natural grace that everyone wants.....jk. My head still has a fair sized lump on on it! And Linds, its from getting in way to fast and not moving my head down far enough......;) So far today the only incident was someone pressing the button to open these really heavy doors at school, and me not paying attention to the fact that they came TOWARDS me, got smucked by it. Oh well, I guess the day is almost done, not to much to happen safe at home, yes that's what I would like to think.....
