retic in king kong?!

in king kong the old movie he fights a snake and the snake looks exactly like a retic! has anybody spoted this?

The old black and white or the 80's version?
I'm curious now. I remember a battle with a snake in the 80's version but not so sure about the original....I know there was a battle with a tyrannosaur and a pteradactyl anyway.
