Well as most of you know. I have serious eye problems. I had surgery on both of my eyes and its going OK i suppose but the downside is effects. The effects are Pain, Sensativity to light, Irriation etc etc. I have to do a ton of drops EVERY 4 hours(except at nights) so that 4 times a day.
It just all got to me today I cant take it anymore. To start off I cannot live a normal Life cause i have to worry about getting my meds so i have to be back at home every 4 hours if i go to my friends house or something. It just sucks. I havent been to school for 3 weeks now and all I do is lay around with a washclothe on my eye..... There is ALWAYS tension and fighting in our house and I feel like its cause of me.....and today it was
I went to my sisters cheerleading competition today and it sucked......BAD. I could not go outside even with my sunglasses and hat on and it was CLOUDY! So needless to say I went home and the WHOLE way home my parents were fighting cause they dont know what to do anymore and it sucks. I just feel like i cause everything wrong......i hate my life.......it sucks......i wish It would end........
My whole life has been surgery.
Another thing i dont like to admit is this........but hey! what do i gotta loose. Along with my eyes comes my mouth problems. Lets put it this way....my teeth SUCK. I have(had) no enamel....so they just blew. WEll finally I had ALL them pulled under GENERAL anestisia(sp) and guess what!! 3/4 the way through I couldnt have anymore novacaine cause my system drains it so fast! So i just had implants put in and THEY hurt SOOO bad i actually cried.......i hate admitting it but it was pain like i never felt before.....pain i would not want any of my family or friends to go through.:(
P.S. Two hott girls did come up to me when i WAS at the competition.:) got phone numbers! But still it sucks........
What should I do please I cant take it anymoore!:(

Well Snakeman87 I know I would normaly pick on you..All in good fun but now is a time where I can honestly say I know what you are going through (indirectly) My mother woke up one morning and hade lost all sight in her left eye then it would come back and go away again. So I know what your family is going through with the stress of not knowing what to do or say in this situation cause there is only a selected few that can say they know how you are fealing simply because to be born blind and to loose you sight is two totaly diffrent life changing events.
Well my mom lost her sight when I was 3 and she was a single mom so she did it all from dippers to school work until my step father steped in when I was 6 or 7 I am not sure then it went all up hill from there as far as moral suport go's.
whne I was 8 she was put on a donor list to recive a new cornia. 23 of DEC when I was 11 she was called at 12 am it was the doc he said there was a tragic death but in consiquence the person was a perffect match for her but she needed to be there in less the 48 hours so she was there in a heart beat I was droped of at my cousins for X-Mas eve and morning.
This is how she explains it to me..
she was on the table and she was wide awake (Forzzen eye) and she saw nothing then she heard the doc say marry X-Mas and with thows words she saw every thing in the room the cornia was placed and the stitch in place.
Now I am not saying this to depresse you I am saying this so you will have some hope because that is all us humans have to live for hope that the next day will bring joy.
I am also not doing this out of pity because I dont pity you cause I have a fealing you don't need it you have a HELL of a good head on your shoulders and you are young you have all the time in the world to figure this $#!T out take it one step at a time and solve one problem at a time. This may sound verry dumb but I would like you to take a pen a paper and wright every worst case senario you can think of and every ending point meaning what is the worst thing that will happen and what are the worst resultswhen you have that done go to a vetrans hospital and spend 30 min with various diffrent ppl then go to your closest blind comunity this may sound wierd but they do exisit we have some in canada it is called the CCB Canadian Counsal for the Blind or the CNIB Canadian National Instatute for the Blind.
A whole new world will open up to you I promise that.
I use the word blind vagly here you are probebly what ppl Call leagaly blind if not that is great but set your self with these pll they are there to help you make the transition from 20/20 vision to a lesser quality of sight in other words I am not saying you are blind I am just telling you that these ppl dont care if you can see good or not well or not at all they will teach you there tricks of the trade. lets face it there ppl in this hobby that helped you leard how to do things and get around the difficult stuff simply cause they have experience. Well these ppl will do the same they will give you the tools and the methods to youse them profesionaly. I know this system works cause I have seen it in action.
well I will not keep you here reading any longer.
Keep your head high your thaught positive and kick every obstacle strait in the @$$ and you will get through this.
Take care man I am with you 100%.
P.S If you need to blow off steam PM me and I will send you my PH# call collect I dont care.

Hang in there Don. I also kind of relate to what both you and Chondro are going through, but again, indirectly. My father has an eye condition called Keratoconus, which means his corneas thin out and develop a cone-shaped deformity. He just recently had his SECOND cornea transplant (He had one back in the 80s), and may require a third. But, he's hanging in there. It's hard, of course. But an easy life is just plain boring, isn't it?
Maybe your family should be in FAMILY councelling. They shouldn't be pinning this on you. People who require a lot of medical help suffer from a lot of stress, yes. But it does put stress on the family as well. It shouldn't, but it does. They need to get their problems out in the open and worked out too.
In the mean time, hang in there, and good luck with the babes. :)

Snakemann I can relate to what you are going through.
From the time I was born, my kidneys were failing. A little bit every year. The cause was post-urethra valves. In other words, while I was still inside my mother, I was unable to pass urine, so the urine eventually backed up into my kidneys and destroyed about 3/4 of each of them. My kidneys didn't actullay fail until I was about 20, so then I got to go onto dialysis. Well let me tell you what dialysis is. Pretty much you have to go to the hosptial 3 times a week, have 2 huge needles stuck into your forearm (to gain access to the bloodstream), and sit in a chair for 4 1/2 hours while a machine continuosly pumps out your blood, filters it, and puts it back into you. Oh and the side effects.... SEVERE leg cramps, headaches, dizziness, light headedness (I passed out on more than one occation), and feel tired and lethargic ALL THE TIME. Now imagine going through all of this 3 times a week for 2 1/2 years. During those 2 1/2 years I also attended (and graduated) college, and had a job, and a long distance relationships. This past July I was lucky enough to recieve a kidney transplant, so no more dialysis, but going throught the surgery and recovery has tramatic enough, thank you very much.
So when you come on here and wonder if your life is worth it, remember that there are others that have gone through, and are going through the same thing as you. Don't chicken out on your life, because it can always be worse!
EVERYONE REMEMBER TO FILL OUT YOUR DONOR CARDS!!!

Hang in there, I have complications of my own, so, I know it can be tough, just try and focus on the good things in your life. And, good for you for wanting to become a snake breeder and veterinarian, those are my exact two career goals in life, and looking forward to that is one of the things keeps me sane. It sounds like you have no trouble attracting women, so good luck with the ladies. :)

Go the physcologist (sp??) I know it may sound dumb and irritating to have to go....but they can really help.....I don't know the pain you are going through, but I do know how it feels when your family constantly fights and you believe it's all your fault....hell I moved out, and came back (was told my grandmother was seriously ill) And I still get treated like everything is my fault.....just keep your head up........think good things........When you belive it's going to be bad, it will be bad, if you try to start believeing that things will be better, then they will be better..........Just keep your head up, and don't listen to the negative things people say...
