Wow nice pics.

What do they do when they are all together like that? Just sit there? LOL I have always wondered.

Marisa,

Actually....the little buggers usually think I'm food while I'm taking pics.......Sometimes they sit their but most times they are trying to eat me....lol.

I can't say it enough, Red Ax is soo nice.. Much different than all the other lines and equally as sweet..

An Axanthic line that's not simple recessive, nice..

haha. I didn't figure they would be doing that. They look so nice and calm in all your photos.

I must say, personally I like the Red Axanthic more than the Pastel Ghost! Awesome looking.

Hey Corey,

Can you explain how axanthic is not simple receive? Here is my understanding of the gene. Maybe you can clarify a few points for me where I may be wrong.
My understanding of Axanthis is that it by deffinition the word means lacking yellow pigment. I thought that genes that are muttated and don't produce a pigment were simple receive genes. I always thought that axanthic was the same as anery or amel, simple receive. I must be wrong if now I'm reading that it's codom. Is it just your line of axanthics that are codom or are all axanthic balls codom? Can you fill in the blanks for me?
Thanks,
Trevor

Trevor,

It is just my line of Axanthics that is Co-Dominant.....all the rest are recessive. There is also a line of Albinos that is Dominant as well (maybe Co-Dom....but future breedings are needed to figure it out).

Trevor,

We aren't really creating anything......we are just working with the animals nature has given us. All you can do is admire them for what they are!

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Corey, which line of albinos are dominant or co-dominant? I've never heard of such a thing.. must be NERD's WhiteSmoke Albino or something freaky like that? Just curious...

Thanks for the great pictures :-)

Bristen.

Bristen,

You are correct....the white smoke (also called a "banana Ball") bred to normals produces albinos with black speckles on them.
