Wow I love your eastern's they are awsome :)
uhhh.... how can some of you have such a double standard? I know I've seen one or two of on other forums standing up against things like feeding live prey and feeding certain unorthodox animals... but yet you see a snake eating another snake and that's ok? I don't get it.
Btw, awesome pics. Love the second one.

Its OK because those pics were taken in the wild (correct?).......wild behavior=OK, human-modified supposed wild behavior (feeding live in a small container)=not OK.

GREAT pics! I do hope that King eating the garter is a field herping picture though.... :)

Thanks.
The king constricting the garter was a natural occurring event. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on your view the king snake released the garter and both crawed away. It seems as if the photographer got too close and spooked the king.

What about feeding frogs, toads, lizards live meal worms and/or crickets?

Insects do not have the capacity to do the damage that a live rodent could to a snake in an enclosed area.

Awesome pics! I'm glad to hear that the Garter got away, but, I find the second pic to be really neat nonetheless. :)
