Hey guys, i am a musician (of the loud sort), and was just thinking that the snake probably wont like loud music would he?
Do any of you play music in the same room withh your snakes?
Can we play our music semi-quiet?
Do they get more stressed from more bassy music then treble, as bass wouls give off more vibrations as it is a lower pitch?

Look at the snare drum post, that should answer your question ;)

okay
sorry for the stupid question
You can play music. Just use common sense and moderation. Don't BLAST the music, but you can play music at a decent level from time to time. Make sure herps are not on any speakers, or the same unit that the speakers are on of course. Bass bothers them more. You don't have to keep everything quiet as a mouse, unless your snake is already highly stressed, in which case all disurbances should be avoided until your snake is back up and healthy. If your snake is fine but starts to exhibit signs of stress, then again, knock it back off. I don't ever play my music loud enough that I would have ro raise my voice above the usual level to speak to someone in the same room, if thats any indication of the volume.

I listen to my music through head phones if it is to be loud.

We play music in here (the office) which houses a corn and 2 kenyans. So far no neurotic problems as a result. It depends on the snake.
