Hello! Our leo is doing good I was just wondering how often you guys suggest handling her?

I want a SUPER "friendly" leo unlike my past leos who were happy to dish out bites if you touched them. So I have been handling Hydra every other day.

She doesn't bite at all, but she definitly likes to try and run off still sometimes, and she is touchy about us gently touching her on her back or tail. Obviously most of them are (and I know they can and will drop a tail if grabbed by it), but I want her to get used to some touching just to make things easier and get her accustomed to it.

Is every other day enough or should I be taking her out every day?

u can take her out every other day to start off w/ for about an hour or so.. try not to grab em or sneak up behind them w/ your hand let em walk onto your hand. a lil trick i do sometimes is to lower the temp for a lil bit so that when they meet my hand they feel nice and warm.. eventually u can start handling them more periodically and for longer times.. my leo will watch tv w/ me or even sleep on me. they get a lot more calm w/ age too

It all depends on your leo age!! If they are adults every day is ok. I'll give you a trick, i don't know if it's true though but it work for me. Just take the leo out of his enclosure and put the side of your finger against her/his nose. Just so she could take a lick from your finger. Mine always recognized me now from this. I don't know if it's by what I smell :D:D but anyway....
