I have a question on the care of my Retic. I have her in about 100-120 gal tank with screen lid. She has a heat light at one end of it and a 5' florescent light. Her substrate is Aspen there is a hide box alot of branches and real plants. Her temp's are at 85 and the humidity is around 60-70% The temps are right to all the care sheet's i have read but when i pick her up she is a bit cold. Should i raise the temps a bit? or maybe put a under tank heater on. Or do you think it is fine the way it is? she does go to the warm side but most of the time she is in the cool spot

Any help would be great
thanks

Well what side is your hide box on and do you her using it offten.
maby adding an extra one. one for the warm and one for the cool end. Cause lets say the hide box is is on the cool end and iy alwas stays hiden then she wount take the time to go warm up like she should because se wants to stay hiden.
The same problem happends when the hide is on the warm side only the over heat them selves just to stay hiden. I hope this helps

ya that helps out in alot of cases, if u put a hide on boath sides i realy wouldnt rase the temps unless she is constently on the hot side, also what is the temp on your basking area?
