Well I was going through tool boxes today looking for a box cutter and guess what I found: my hypo tangerine leopard gecko that got loose, what, 5 months ago? Anyhow I am sure he was not starving as I have crickets running around everywhere. I know he is probably looking for a drink so I made sure to give him quite a bit. I was just curious as to whether there was anything else I should do. Also, I noticed he has gotten much more black spots all over him. I was wondering why this was? Anyhow YES HES BACK!

my friend lost his leopard for about a month and a half and it also got more spots. I think its because they didnt have any heat. Just a guess but thats great that you found him. Hope he does good.

wow thats awsome I would also assume the darker color is due to the temps. I lost a whites tree frog for about 3 weeks I thought for sure he was dead but then we found him in the dranage hole in the basement thank good we never put anything down it. little guy was so bright green when we did find him I was so glad he turned up healthy and happy! congrates on fidning your guy

my leos turn dark after eating and when they get heated up cause i had my blizz in my hand for a while when i was watching tv and i looked down after a while and she was almost a dark grey.. just observations.. no real conclusions yet though

That is so great. And I thought I was lucky when I lost a week old hatchling and found it alive 4 weeks later. Wow, 5 months!! The darkness could possibly be from being cold and also stress. Let us know how he is doing in a few days, if his color brightens up. Again congrats! What a great find. :)

Thanks a lot guys! It is not so much of his colour returning. He is a hypo tangerine but has gained a lot more black. However after speaking with HQ Reptiles I understand with heat the spots will go away.
