We've got babies!

Our gravid female cottonmouth dropped 8 babies last night. 7 of them look very healthy but it is not looking too good for the runt. The digital camera was unavailable but hopefully tonight or tomorrow I'll throw up some pics.

what sub-species of cotton was it?

They are eastern cotton's: Agkistrodon p. piscivorus. And they came out striking, but rode a hook very well.

Nice....... I always love to hear of captive born hots...... Good job...... Cant wait to see the pics...... And dont count on that runt not doing well....... I had a runt gaboon born 5 years ago and he is one of my largest males and my best breeder...... He tries to bang his water dish sometimes.....LOL

The female eastern cotton dropped 8 babies 9/4/03. 7 are thick, healthy and doing great. There was 1 runt who died yesterday.
