Yup normal behaviour. Open mouth breathing, now that's bad.

Yeah, I think it's hilarious (and cute) when my ball "yawns".
Gives me a chance to see inside her mouth too!

I love it when Jega does that. The exercise she gets from handling makes her tired and she yawns a lot. Isn't it cool?? :D
they do it after they feed too. Its how they relocate their jaw.

"but she was not showing her teeth"
I didn't know that ball pythons have retractable teeth
I think its a baby, their teeth are small. Even when my full grown opens his mouth, I dont see his teeth.
P.S. Icemans girlfriend (LOL) you know they dont have fangs like venomous snakes right?

i have a baby too and when he yawns, i can see his teeth.
hmm. yeah I dont recall ever seeing my snakes teeth. Odd. I know he has em though, he drew blood from my mom. :D
i've never seen jega's teeth either.
well i was not sure, because most animals show their teeth when they yawn or when they are ready to attack. yes i know they don't have fangs like venomous snakes. thanks

Our Kenyan yawns all the time. She's scared me the first few times that she did it, because I only caught it with the the corner of my eye, I thought at first that she was going to bite me. All I could see were those teeth of hers! It happens quite often when I'm holding her...I wonder if I bore her? *LOL*

Don't forget the corns, Dragon. They are so cute when they yawn. They get the really big, extended ones too. :)

the vet showed me huxley's teeth when I took him in for a check-up. They are SO small...they almost looked like dents rather than actual teeth.
