noticed today. I don't really know what to do, cause I never found any care sheets when I bought her. I've had her since about april or may.

Nice pics man. Really cewl.
About the seperating: in a while the babies will get of the back and walk around abit. Bit will stay close to the mother. Once they wander further away from the mother, then its a good time to get them out. Since the mother will feed the babies, she wont get much food herself, which makes her hungry. So i dont think i have to explain what happens when she sees one of her babies :(
Im not totally sure though, cause im doing this from the top of my head and i got emperors. But i think the basic will be the same.

Looked up some general info in my tarantula book, it has some general info on scorpions in the back. They say the young should stay with the mom until their first molt. After that they should all be separated. The book does say that if you decied to house them together they should have plenty of food so they don't go cannabilistic. it recommends for the babies, to pinch off the back legs of the crix. I don't know how accurate this is cause i don't keep scorpions only trying to help. It also mentions that most of the babies do not make it through molting because most owners don't keep the humidity high enough.

That is sooo awesome!! I don't know a lot about scorpions but I would just wait until the babies hop off and start caring for them selves, then separate. Just a thought :)

get ahold of Tim and Julie Bannigan......they have had good luck in breeding various species of scorpions and they will be able to help you with what they know.

Burmer, that is funny I recently bought my husband a scorpion and I had to talk him into it!! He's not to fond of all my lovelys, but I thought a scorpion would break him in slowly LOL

Some others here who may be able to help are Ottawa Chris, Arachnomania & Blackwidow69. They are often in the invertebrate forum. Best of luck to you. Darlene.

Very Cool!! For what its worth, a friend recently had a emporer give birth, he had to seperate the babies a week after birth cause the female started eating them. I took a few, and housed them each seperately, they are eating small crix no prob, and growing well.
Best of luck, those are very nicel looking scorps.

only 3 remain, all others were eaten or couldn't get their skin off.

I kept it as moist as possible without spraying.

The remaining 3 seem healthy though.

K, So I had a pretty good system going.

Every second day I would rip a cricket in half and watch my little friends eat to their content. I then left the remains to be consumed at will.
Every secod day THEY ATE READILY.

Then I get crickets from a new store PETCETERA. I can only speculate, however it is a STRONG speculation, that the crickets were fed something bad, cause both babies died within 36 hours of consumption of tainted crickets, and mom wouldn't eat/touch hers.

I AM NOT PURCHASING FROM PETCETERA EVER AGAIN.

Call me crazy, paranoid, but I know(/believe) I am right. Conditions were ideal for babies,

So the Story Ends. Thanx for the support from everyone.
I did get alot of good pix. Though, I feel at loss, and humbled at this failure.
