Morph on Ball Python Manual cover?

Someone asked this question in another thread, but nobody replied.. my wife really likes the animal on the Ball Python Manual cover, but I don't know if it has a name or not... does anybody know? Must be like a high-contrast Jungle or something?

Hey KLG,

how did you know that? is it in the book somewheres? I didn't even think to check on the inside of the cover (duh!).. Also, they don't seem to advertise that type of animal anymore... They only had pictures of pastel jungles, which don't look the same...

What's really nice about that animal is that it's got jet black marks, yellow/orange sides and snow white trimming.. my wife really enjoys the contrasts in that animal.

The Sutherlands have it on their website...hang out in this industry long enough & stuff like that just files itself away in the back of your mind. ;)

Not many folks really advertise Classic Jungles...they're widely considered to be a polygenic morph - meaning there are several factors that contribute to this appearance, rather than a simple recessive, co-dominant, or dominant gene, so producing them consistently is extremely hit-or-miss...more of a pipe dream rather!

I understand now about the Jungles... too bad they are hard to produce since they are such nice animals :-(

well, I can't believe I missed that link.. thanks Kara! This is definately the morph(phase?) I was talking about. Now we know. And to think we could of purchased a wild caught one at a local pet shop for 75$ (Canadian) drives me nuts!! I don't know if it can be reproduced or not, but they look great just the same :-)
