What should i look for in sexing if i don't have a probe. size and stuff like that.

You should be looking for probes...if you want to be 100% sure.

probes is the way to go.

maybe you could give Tim cranwill a shout and maybe hed be nice enough to sex it for you. since he was the sexing man at the red deer show :)

and im pretty sure he is in winnipeg too.

If you do not know how to sex a snake, I would highly recommend that you get a professional to do it for you. You could do serious damage to the snake if it is done improperly.

mykee's right on...if you don't have training in probing, you could cause your snake unnecessary distress. My vet probed Huxley as a part of his regular examination, although I'm sure if you didn't want the examination, any reptile vet would not charge all that much for a probing.

$67.50 for one snake to get probed, I had to bring my own probe and the vet moved away very fast while she had the probe in him and made him bleed. Not very happy with my first visit to the vet with herps.

Well first off i would of freaked out then second i would have refused to pay.

If the snake is young enough pop it . You do this by rolling your thumb up from tail to vent. It will take a bit of practise and its better if some one shows you how,this will work with most baby snakes.

look at the clovalcol and the tail will be shorter on the male then the female

Jaybox, what is clovalcol? I think I used to drink that mixed with cranberry juice back in the day.
