That is the coolest pic ever! Hey Donoe I just saw a whole program on the engineering feats of the Neatherlands. Holy crap....inflatable dykes and a huge dyke that lowers into the ocean during storms. Then hey lets put a road on top. Not to mention the one with the swinging arms. I forget how much of the country it said is below sea level. You Dutch are crazy! Seriously though what a beautiful country. I would love to see it some day. What province do you live in? Take care, Tim.

Hello y'all
thanks for all the nice comments :D

And yes, we dutch people know how to rule the water (in a certain degree) and indeed a big part of the netherlands is below sea level, pretty freaky when you come to think of it :p
I live in the province called Noord-Holland. The same province as Amsterdam. I live about 30 km above it :) And you are welcome to stay here, once you get the chance to come to holland :D
Oh scorpions look cool at any distance :D

have you observed the spray of a Parabuthus?

skinheaddave

No. The only parabuthis species that I have had that has the ability is P.transvaalicus and I have never seen them do it. From an energetics standpoint this makes sense, as the salt-based pre-venom they use for the spray is quite costly to make.

Dave
