Hey, Hugh's eyes were starting to cloud up that usually means a shed right? When I noticed that I raised the humidity and fed him (it was time for a feeding) so, I havent seen him for 2 days b/c hes been under his hide after the eat. So yesterday when I took him out his eyes werent foggy anymore and there was no shed anywhere. He didnt look to much bigger?

Anyone know?

Im not a bp man (not a snake man for all that matters) but i heard somewhere that the eyes become clear first and some days later the shed begins. I hope im correct, else im never gonna post in a bp forum again :D

My bp's eyes went cloudy for two days, then clear for one, and then she shed. I'm sure your bp will shed soon.

usually the eye caps fall off a few days before the shed happens.

Everyone is right, and another thing is he's not gonna look any bigger to you, it's not like he starts out at 200g before shed, and then pops up to 300g after shed. The change is the same as it would be in everyday life. Keep misting him, this is when he needs it most. Oh, one other things, the eye caps do not fall off a day or two before, they come off with the rest of the shed.

The eyes get cloudy, indicating an upcoming shed, then clear up. It may take up to two weeks for the shed to actually occur. Just keep mistin'! :D

The eycaps of my ball come off with the rest of the shed. They don't fall off before the rest of the shed.

In the past 10+ years of keeping hundreds of snakes, I have NEVER seen ths happen...

i agree. the eye caps and tail caps came with the rest of Jega's shed. She went cloudy and after 2 days of looking like she was wearing "smoke" she cleared up. About 2 days after that she shed in one peice with eye and tail caps attatched to the rest of the shed.

Agreed. Eye caps do not come off before. The reason you think this is because the snake goes blue then clear THEN sheds.
