Yup, I'd say hypo tang.
Hypo (hypomelanism) is an absence of melanistic pigment (melanine).

the black being gone

Yes, melanine is black pigment. Albinish is a total, recessive absence of melanine, whereas hypomelanism is be in just certain areas or a lesser amount of the pigment.

Hypo Tang..

Yes, and If i'm right hypo means less than 10 blacks pigments on the body(not including tail and head), super hypo means no black pigments on the body(not including tail and head) and super hypo baldy means no black pigments on the entire body (not including tail)

Am I right??

I'd say that she's a gorgeous Hypo Tang :) Super Hypo (to me anyways) means that there's no spotting on the body... although "hypo" definitions are a little inconsistent... some might call her a super hypo...
That probably didn't help much... lol...

Reduced pattern tangerine. Hypos lack any dark pigment on the back legs and feet with reduced spotting on the body, often normal spotting on the head and tail. She seems to have dark toes:D Super hypo tangs lack pigment on the body, but usually have residual markings on the head and tail, usually 10 or fewer spots each.:D Just my two pennies:D

Just curious. Doesnt "Hypo" (in generall, not refering to any one animal) mean "less than normal", and "Hyper" mean "More than normal"?

Just wondering where this 10 spot thing comes in???

Zoe

Yup, think of "hyperactive" meaning more active than normal. Although usually, we just call it "melanistic" when it's more than normal.

10 spots are a number breeders came up with so they could decide a hypo from a reduced pattern, and a super hypo from a hypo.

Wow, i learn something new on this site everyday! I'm so glad people are asking questions about what things mean, it helps me out a lot to get the answers! :) Great gecko by the way!

so the "10 spots" is just a phrase for leo's then?

I swear, u leopard people...

that is a hypo tangerine, almost super hypo, if there were less spot on the head and none on the body :)

Almost a hypo tang, but she has dark pigment on her back legs and toes, so she is truely a reduced pattern, rather than a hypo.:D

Cool Thanks Tim & Julie I didn't know about the spots on the legs and feet :)

I dont think it's just a reduced... reduced are those with less than normal spoting, if Hypo were STRICLY no spots on legs and toes
what would be Super Hypo than?, super hypo is no spot on body
which include none on legs no?
and baldy is no spot on the head, so my guess is Hypo :)

Reduced pattern-fewer body markings than normal with normal pattern on head and tail

Hi-yellow-brighter than normal background, normal or somewhat reduced body markings, no dark pigments on hind legs and feet

Hypo-roughly 10 dark body markings, no dark pigments on hind legs or feet, normal or reduced dark markings on head and tail

Super hypo-no dark body pigmenst, no dark pigment on any legs or toes, significantly reduced markings on head and tail

Baldy-same as super hypo but with little to no head markings (definately no black) and very reduced tail markings

I really hope this helps some of you out. There are so many leos now that us breeders need a clear cut explanation for the different morphs as many people cannot tell the difference between the more similar ones.:D It's just so much fun trying to keep it all staight! (not!!!) Take care,

Julie

Yup! Julie got that right, except Super Hypos can have many spots on their heads and tails. If they have no (or one or two speckles or pale spots) on their backs / legs then they are super hypo. However, super hypos have reduced patterns on their heads and tails anyway, so I don't think too many people have encountered that dilema :D
