I was wondering at what time of the day boas are most active. My 3 month old BCI escaped and has been gone for 5 days, I have been trying to find her but I don't really know when she would be most active. Any information and tips would be appreciated.

my guess would be @ night
try putting some flour around the walls and across doorways
set up a heat pad in the middle of a room with some water and maybe she will go to it
the flour is to track her
best of luck

The problem with boas is, they are one of the LEAST active snakes at any point in the day. But I've noticed with our male BCI, when it's WELL into the night (3 AM or so), he is more likely to be active.

all of my snakes are way more active at night.
except for right now because my little one is shedding. but other than that they are always out and about at night.

She may be going into shed would that impact her activity?

try looking up high to not just on the floor my escaped 2 times and every time he was up high i passed by him 2 times then noticed him
just look everywhere and a bit higher from where u think it can climb u have no idea how good they are till u see it
mine got to the top shelf of my walk in closet damned if i know how he did it but he did

mine usually sit in their hides when they are shedding but every boa is different.

hopefully you find your boa man.

maybe just maybe she will be a little dry and the shed will come off in pieces, this way you might be able to track her down by looking for pieces of shed.just a thought

To find a lost boa you have to think like a boa and crawl around like a boa! Just remember that they will ussually travel along walls and like warmth, so check behind and under or around anything that is warm. Look everywhere it could possibly be.

GOOD LUCK!
