I think we have a live bull snake possably. 16 inches long[baby cuz in 2 weeks he's grown] We've been to different snake sites with no picture to see what this guy or gal is. Definnatly aggresive and loves to eat worms. We just want to find out about this snake and don't know where to begin. Pet stores that sell dogs and cats are no help. The other possability is gopher snake . We just don't know. Any help on where to take this guy for ID would be appreciated.

hmmm are you sure its either a bullsnake or gopher snake? I have never really heard of a bullsnake eating worms, ive only seen garter snakes, ribbon snakes, and some other species eat worms. Also, i think that bullsnakes and gophers are rodent eater too. Do you have a pic of it?

Thanks,
Ben

FINALLY FOUND PICTURES OF COLORADO SNAKES. NOT A BULL OR GOPHER. Don't know what he is but that's life. I'll keep looking. Is there such a thing as crossbreeding of snakes??? He does look like rattle snake from sides down but no rattle on tail.

There are checkered gartersnakes and wandering gartersnakes have a checkered pattern - either of which could resemble a bullsnake pattern. A google search for either should give you some photos for comparisons.

good luck,
