how often should i dust the food items

i dust my feeders w/ calcium every time i use them.. becareful for d3 though (it helps intake of calcium but it can be overdosed) i dunno how much d3 is too much though.. maybe someone else could tell u

it really depends on how you want to do it. I leave out a calcium dish which they can lick whenever, and then i dust the crickets about once or twice a week. Some people do both every time, some do it once a week. Really depends on person

D3 overdose can happen but I think it's mainly with the liquid calciums that this happens. For my leos that eat mealies out of a dish I put some calcium in the dish with the mealies so they usually get a bit of calcium with every bite and then they can also lick more if they need to. I have two adults that wont dish feed and for them I coat 5 mealies every other feeding and smear some calcium on on of their rocks of something for them to lick up as they please.
