Actually Joe I was just looking for general information on them, I didn't have any specific questions. You could just post it here so more people could read it.

Doesn't look like people have a lot to say about Bismark Ringed pythons, so I will share my experience with them.
They are great looking neonates. Or rephrase, absolutely fabulous. Very nippy and mine stroke at anything for the first few months.
Struggled to get them to feed on pinkies, so I tried larger food items, fuzzies and small hoppers. That worked well.
These are like all snakes, great !!

I'll make a quick comment in reguards to python neonates & pinkie mice as food. It's been my experience that they don't realize the pinkies are prey items. I've had many young pythons (& Boas) have a look at them & not touch them overnight (live or dead). Throw in something with hair like a warmed up fuzzy & wham instant meal time. They don't like those little hairless pinkies, but they will Woof back fuzzies & hoppers no problems. Something to remember while establishing python youngsters etc. Mark I.

Gonesnakee, that is absolutely correct, and exactly the reason I tried it. Some of my amazon tree boas also did that. It is amazing to see how large the prey is they can eat. Even the Bismarks. Those hatchlings are small!

Hey Corallus where abouts are ya in S.A.? I visited Jo-burg & Cape Town back in 1988 when I worked in the Kalahari in Botswana. You probably don't find many people over there that care for snakes very much eh? That was my experience anyway, especially with the natives in the desert. Everything they saw brought cries of "Kill It, Kill It!" they were scared of everthing. Mark I.
