Silk plants

I was at a craft store the other day (blah!!!) and I saw these vines and vines and vines of silk plants. I was wondering are these alright to put in my enclosures? Just for some filler plants. I have live plants in most of them, but would a few silk plants be alright? How do they handle high humidity? Is there anything toxic in them that, if my cham gulped some H20, would hurt them? Just wondering, cause they are a lot cheaper than the plastic ones at the lcoal pet stores.

I would rinse them off in hot water a few times... alot of the green dye will come out of them.. but if the green dye isnt coming off anymore then they are safe to put into your cages :)

yeah that happened to me...the dye came off...so i removed them and rinsed em off good...

the best thing to clean anything off is half water and half vingar...the vingar wont hurt the reptiles and it disinfects(excuse the spelling)

Silk plants can be excellent to work with. This is what I've done with Halo's tank and the silk plants...my girls all have silk plants too and they love to hide under them and climb on top of them. :) And, yes, rinsing them really well helps. :)
