on all the websites and care sheets that i have read they say to feed your baby beardie as many crickets as it will eat in 10-15 minutes

i do this twice a day and as long as i put in a cricket he will eat it

i could probably put in 20 and hed eat all of them

i normally cut him off at 8 or so

is this to much?

hes only about 7 1/2 inches long

with the size he is how old do u guys think he is?

i got him from a petstore and i never found out the age

No, it's not too many at all. It's not unusual for hatchlings to eat 100 to 200 crickets a day during periods of fast growth!

It's nearly impossible to guess an accurate age based on size as beardies grow at very different rates depending on genetics, cage temps, how much they've been fed, and all sorts of environmental factors. Anywhere from 2 to 10 weeks old is my very rough estimate. But there are occasional beardies that never grow any bigger than that and live for 12 years or so.

Yep, as many as he'll take in 20 minutes, two or three times a day. It's vital that he get enough protein while his body is forming its musculature in order that he be strong and healthy. He'll back off on food once his growth spurt is done but for now just pile it on. ;)
