They are ok for hatching eggs that are not very sensitive to temperature fluctuations, but I wouldn't recommend using one for anything that requires exacting temperatures.
I agree with Linds! I use one for my leopard geckos but that is because I am shooting for a temp range and not an exact temperature! However it has served me well thus far.

Great for gecko eggs (actaully, good for colubrid eggs too), but I wouldn't use one for Python eggs.

Yeah, I agree. They don't hold too many eggs either. I use old refridgerators and heat tape. They are perfect for multiple clutches, and they are almost always free. (just watch out for freon leaks in the cooling systems)If you want more info on how to put one together, just send an e-mail.
