Again a big thank you goes out to Don Patterson for these 100% het albino males. I couldn't be happier with them and Don is always a pleasure to deal with!
This male is almost a black back it's crazy!

Nice snakes, but what does "het" mean?

Awesome Trev! Hey, let's race! First one to hatch an albino bp wins.... umm.... Well I guess we both wins no matter who's first. ;)
Daver676, het means they carry the recessive gene for amelanism. When bred together, two hets have a 1 in 4 chance of producing albinos.

I bought the double hets from Henry. I'm picking them up this weekend. I can't even tell you how excited I am about them. I can imagine how you feel. :D

Well Tim a ball was my second snake but my first love. It's hogs now, but balls were my first passion in this hobby. I thought early on that ball morphs may always be out of my reach so I started to change the focus of my collection to include as many small boids as I could. Well needless to say now that two albino hets are in the snakeroom the focus has switched again, some what anyway. I'm still going to work with small boids but not as many as I had planed. For example I was going to get Children's and spotted pythons after x-mass but now I'm not going to bother getting any other different species for a while as I need to keep the room for adult females and hold backs. That is also the reason why I'm selling off all but 4 of my corns.
Cheers,
Trevor

Hey, me too! It just became time to focus on more exciting projects. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE keeping snakes of any kind but right now I'm just more passionate about my ball projects than my corn and cal king ones. Still great snakes and I'll likely be in and out of them for years but the next few years will be more focussed on other things. ;)

Congrats on the new additions Trevor, they look great! :) Do you have a het female to pair them up with, or will you be breeding them to normals and going the 50% het route?
Congrats on the new additions! :D
Congrats on the new pair, they look good and healthy!
