I got my snake the 13th. so it has been 13 days. He went poo in the box he had been shipped in. He has eaten 3 large pinkies since then. they give him a good sized bulge in his midsection. He is active, and peed.....almost all liquid, one small urate pebble. He looks really thick right before the area where he would go to the bathroom from, and it looks like he should be going, but he hasnt. Should I be worried? Or am I just being a jewish mother? :)

HUUUUUHHHH??? Chicken soup? I think I missed something.... But your snake should be going soon enough. Somtimes they just hold it for a while.

Might try a nice warm soak in water. if not you need to take him/her to the vet.

It's not uncommon for boids to have a bowel movement only every 3 or 4 feedings, especially if you're giving them pinkies. They may be digesting and absorbing all of it. As soon as you move your snake to fuzzies and hoppers, you'll probably see the frequency increase.

I'd also suggest trying to soaking him in some warm water too. It always helps to loose everything up for them and it gives them a bath while you're at it! Clean them up before they make a mess ;) Makes sense to me!

No worries read what Invicus said. I've had Boids that don't take a decent crap for a month especially on pinkies. Give that thing some meat, LOL. Mark I.

2 weeks is nothing. I don't know why you are worrying. Snakes are not mammals. They are conservationists by nature and seeing as they excrete liquid and solid waste simultaneously, and that they guard their water reserves with their lives, it only makes sense that it takes them longer between bathroom trips.

Quit sweating it.

Nah dude, they were fuzzies.

And I'm betting he's saving it up for an opportunity to poo on you.

i'd even say 3 weeks is nothing to worry about. mine went that long, and longer when I first got them. give it a little more time. haven't tried that warm water suggestion. couldn't hurt!

gosh, an I thought any jewish mother would recognize chicken soup as a cure all.

In my house the cure all was vitamin C, not chicken soup :)
